- ➤ Maru Ramen is rebranding to Maru Korea at its 512 W State Street location; the restaurant now serves traditional Korean dishes with lower-carb, higher-protein meals like bulgogi and clay-pot tofu. - ➤ Ithaca College is hosting a free concert honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. this weekend. The performance at Ford Hall will feature the Jazz Ensemble and South Hill Singers and starts at 4 p.m. Sunday. 607 News Now
- ➤ Organist Amanda Mole, a visiting lecturer at Cornell, will perform free classical music on Sunday at Sage Chapel at 3 p.m. The event is open to the public. 607 News Now

- ➤ The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported New York's average regular fuel price dropped to $2.86 per gallon on Monday, down from $2.89 last week. Prices remained 1.9% higher than the national average. Ithaca Journal

- ➤ Cornell University received a record $371.5 million gift from tech billionaire David Duffield to support its newly renamed engineering school, with most funds allocated from its $11.8 billion endowment to strategic projects + facility upgrades. The Ithaca Voice
- ➤ The National Alliance on Mental Illness of the Finger Lakes has opened registration for its free Winter 2026 Family-to-Family class (8 sessions) that teaches mental health topics and self-care skills. The course will be held on Zoom every Tuesday from Feb. 3 to March 24 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 607 News Now
- ➤ ClubFest is happening today at Barton Hall with sessions from 12 to 1:30 and 2:30 to 4 p.m. after it was moved from Sunday due to a winter storm warning forecasting 6-10 inches of snow; the Student Union Board says campus operations remain normal. The Cornell Daily Sun

- ➤ In December, Tompkins County home listings dropped to a median price of $384,000 from $389,000 and homes averaged 1,929 sqft at $223 per sqft. Data from Realtor.com shows that the price per square foot increased by 12.6% and new listings rose 28.6% — a shift from previous months. Ithaca Journal

- ➤ On Friday night at Hobey Baker Memorial Ice Rink, Cornell women's hockey scored six goals to beat Princeton 6 to 1 in a dominant game. The team overcame penalty issues and extended its home winning streak (to seven games) while ending Princeton's 13-game win run. The Cornell Daily Sun
