  • A new play called Milkweed uses ideas from quantum physics and teacher-student relationships to ask big questions on stage at Kitchen Theatre Company through March 15. The play draws on simple images like offices (with desks and bookshelves) and homey spaces to show contrasts in learning and life.  The Ithaca Voice

ECONOMY NEWS

  • United Airlines will add a third daily flight from Ithaca Tompkins International Airport to Washington Dulles on March 5, with service continuing until early June — increasing scheduling flexibility for business, government, university, and leisure travel.  14850

SPORTS NEWS

  • Ithaca College women’s golf team captured three tournament wins, including the St. Lawrence Invitational, and will start their spring season competing for a Liberty League crown at the Vassar College Invitational in Poughkeepsie on March 28 to 29 and the Martin Wallace Invitational in Cortland on April 11 to 12.  The Ithacan
  • Cornell’s women's hockey team beat Colgate 3 to 1 on Nov. 15 to secure its ticket to the ECAC championship weekend starting March 6; coach Doug Derraugh said the penalty-filled contest + prepared the team for tougher playoff rounds.  The Cornell Daily Sun
  • Cornell men's hockey team secured a 2-1 win against Clarkson on Saturday at Lynah Rink—senior goaltender Remington Keopple made 20 saves on senior night. The team now prepares for the ECAC tournament quarterfinals on March 13 and 14.  The Cornell Daily Sun
