EDUCATION NEWS

  • Tompkins Cortland Community College honored longtime educator Regina Grantham posthumously with the 2026 Friend of the College Award on February 26. Grantham led the speech-language pathology program for nearly 30 years and helped launch the Cortland Community of Color.  607 News Now
  • Cornell will offer a part-time, fully online Bachelor of Professional Studies degree program in fall 2027 (designed for working adults without an undergraduate degree) from its School of Continuing Education, with applications opening January next year.  607 News Now

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • At Cornell, officials reported spending $1,094,000 in federal lobbying in 2025 (a 66% rise from 2024) to secure research grants, support international student policies, and protect existing funding for academic programs in Ithaca.
