- ➤ On April 17, about 500 people rallied at Cornell’s Ho Plaza as part of the National Day of Action for Higher Education to protest federal funding cuts that froze $1b of research funds. Cornell joined a lawsuit on April 14 against federal officials for the cuts—faculty and students said halted projects would hurt future research. The Ithacan
