- ➤ Silo Food Truck will close its location at Liquid State Brewing Company this September after nearly a decade serving fried chicken, sticky rice and mac and cheese, and will finish the season at local events including Porchfest and Apple Harvest Festival. The owners said the final weekend at Liquid State will be during Oktoberfest on September 13 to 14 and that they will return for select community events next warm season. 14850

- ➤ The Sciencenter said it was notified on April 10th that two federally awarded grants (totaling nearly $500,000) were terminated, cutting funds for its planned museum-library partnership and outdoor science park upgrades. The loss of these funds—linked to a March 14th executive order that placed IMLS staff on leave—means the science center will mothball several planned projects. 14850

- ➤ Cornell students will vote online beginning Wednesday for the student-elected trustee role to serve two years and replace incumbent J.P. Swenson ’25. - ➤ Open Doors English teaches ESL classes at First Presbyterian Church and has enrolled over 260 new students while recent ICE arrests and visa revocations have increased fears among its attendees.
