- ➤ TC3 and Ithaca College signed a dual-admission agreement on April 10 that gives students in health sciences, biology and psychology a clear pathway from associate to bachelor’s degrees — students will transfer without a separate application and receive scholarships from $15,000 to $36,000 a year. - ➤ The Tompkins County Board of Health fined the owner of Asteri Ithaca $40,000 after inspectors found major waste issues and unsanitary conditions in the building. The Vecino Group must complete required improvements by April 30 (or face additional daily fines) to meet the county order. The Ithaca Voice
- ➤ Due to weather delays, paving on Wilson Road and Buck Road in Lansing is set for today through Friday (Apr. 24), with one lane open and flaggers directing traffic while motorists are urged to take alternate routes. 14850
- ➤ Tompkins County is pressing ahead with an 80-bed shelter on Cherry Street & has applied for $15M from HHAP to support the project. The design includes ADA-compliant spaces & after operating the current Code Blue shelter through winter 2027 to 28, construction will begin in early May. Tompkins Weekly
- ➤ New York lawmakers are urged to pass the Accelerate Solar for Affordable Power Act so more households benefit from lower energy bills and a stable grid. The act (ASAP Act) will speed up local solar and battery projects to capture over $1 billion in annual savings. Ithaca Journal
