- ➤ Starting May 7, adult U.S. citizens must show a REAL ID, U.S. passport card or for New York residents, an Enhanced ID—available at the DMV on 3rd Street—to board domestic flights or enter federal sites, and applicants must bring proof of residency, citizenship and a social security number while standard IDs remain valid for non-security transactions.
