  • The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for Ithaca until future notice as Cayuga Lake stays above flood stage—its level was 383.8 feet at 2 a.m. on May 9 and officials warn that 384.0 feet may affect lakeside properties and parks.  607 News Now

  • The 2025 Real Property Tax Foreclosure Auction will be held online from June 12 to June 23 + parcels are available on Reynolds Auction with detailed information provided by the Finance Department.  Tompkins County
  • On May 7, the Common Council voted 8–3 to legalize accessory dwelling units in most residential zones without requiring homeowners to live on-site—concluding six years of debate—and the ordinance lets property owners build detached or internal secondary units without special permits—removing a key construction barrier.  Ithaca.com
  • Ithaca leaders reaffirmed the Green New Deal on Wednesday — Mayor Robert Cantelmo said the city still plans to meet its climate goals set in 2019. The Common Council approved the move to show continued commitment to its environmental plans.  607 News Now
