- ➤ Avangrid announced a $41M investment in Ithaca to rebuild aging electrical infrastructure by constructing three new substations and adding 22 miles of transmission lines—this upgrade will improve reliability for over 42,000 customers—and the work is set to be completed by the end of 2027. - ➤ Ithaca College shared enrollment and budget updates at the State of the College meeting on May 20 — the college received 12,710 applications with 1,191 deposits for Fall 2025 and outlined a plan to balance its budget by FY28 through gaining $15.3 million and cutting $11 million in costs.
