EDUCATION NEWS

  • A survey of Cornell’s Class of 2026 (held from April 20 until May 5) shows that 103 seniors shared insights on legacy status, majors, GPAs, and campus favorites like Mann Library, providing a snapshot of their backgrounds and plans.   The Cornell Daily Sun
  • Despite rainy, cold weather, Cornell held its 2026 commencement on Saturday at Schoellkopf Field, where President Kotlikoff spoke about democracy and free expression while Connie Mabry announced her retirement after decades of service.  The Cornell Daily Sun

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • TCAT will run reduced summer service from May 24 to Aug. 15 but will offer a new Route 23 on weekends that takes riders from downtown to Taughannock Falls, Treman, and Buttermilk state parks. Route 22 will start on June 29 to line up with camp schedules.  Ithaca.com

SPORTS NEWS

  • Ten athletes are nominated for Guthrie Athlete of the Week for events held May 16-22. Vote by noon Thursday, May 28, to choose your top candidate from local sports achievements - based on submitted results.  Ithaca Journal
