- ➤ A commercial truck left the roadway in downtown Ithaca Wednesday evening at 7:55 p.m.—the driver avoided vehicles, pedestrians and buildings, was taken to a hospital for evaluation, and police said no injuries or significant property damage occurred while citations are pending. The Ithaca Voice
- ➤ Ithaca Police and several agencies responded Wednesday evening at approximately 7:55 p.m. to a commercial vehicle accident at South Aurora St. and Hudson St.—the tractor trailer left the roadway and climbed an embankment without hitting others, and the driver, who was found uninjured, was taken to a local hospital for evaluation with citations pending. - ➤ On Tuesday, incompatible chemicals accidentally mixed at Ithaca's water treatment plant on Water Rd produced chlorine gas and prompted an emergency response by the Ithaca Fire Department, which later cleared the facility—ensuring the city’s water supply remained safe and uninterrupted. 607 News Now
