Vick Sr. of Trumansburg, fled into the Seneca Street Parking garage where officers, alerted by a K9 unit, found over two pounds of methamphetamine, 19 grams of heroin, 1.2 ounces of crack cocaine, and 1.4 ounces of psilocybin mushrooms, leading to charges for multiple felonies and misdemeanors.

Tompkins County voters cast 3,121 ballots, which represented 5.21% of registered active voters in a Tuesday primary held during extreme heat.

Low turnout—linked to several uncontested races and high temperatures—matched figures from 2021.

The Ithaca Fire Department opened a new station in East Hill on June 25th at 2:00 p.m. at the corner of Elmwood Avenue and Dryden Road — firefighters pushed Engine 2 into the garage and raised a flag — while the old station at 307 College Ave sold for $5.5 million.
