  • Free breakfast and lunch will be provided to students aged 18 and under starting July 7 across various sites in Ithaca and Tompkins County — no registration or paperwork is needed. Programs at places such as Southworth Library and Montgomery Park run through mid-August and families will also receive a Summer EBT benefit of $120 per eligible child — though there is no meal service on July 4.  14850

CRIME NEWS

  • State Police arrested 38-year-old Kimberly Makinster—charged with felony reckless endangerment, controlled substance possession and misdemeanors—and 43-year-old Bridget Kelly—charged with controlled substance possession and misdemeanors—after a Thursday evening pursuit on East State Street ended for public safety when officers found the unoccupied vehicle on Haller Boulevard.  607 News Now
