- ➤ Cornell researchers uncovered a microscopic carbon contamination layer that hindered electrical flow in beta gallium oxide devices and showed that a UV-ozone exposure or active oxygen treatment removed the barrier—resulting in one of the lowest reported contact resistances for these components. - ➤ New York’s DEC is reviewing two natural gas pipeline proposals—one extending 125 miles from Pennsylvania to Schoharie and another linking existing pipelines under New York Harbor to supply gas to millions of homes and New York City.
