- ➤ Cornell’s Ignite Fellow for New Ventures program will fund three new research projects — one on a treatment for childhood ear infections, one developing an AI tool to link data, and one advancing a gene editing method for safer therapeutics — and the program will provide fellows with training, funding, and local business development support. - ➤ New York State Police are investigating a break-in at the unoccupied Trip Hotel building on Sheraton Drive in Lansing when two suspects entered around 3:08 a.m. on July 5th and damaged property, with one suspect a shirtless black male in dark colored shorts and the other a female in a black tank top with a large tattoo who was called "Sarah" by the male—officials urge anyone with information to call 607-561-7400—referencing case number NY2500601235. 14850

- ➤ Cornell researchers studied 43 students with brain scans and a computer game and found that those from low-income families with strong social support and those from high-income families with little support took similar risks—though their brains worked in different ways.
