ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A collision between two cars occurred around 11:30 a.m. at Cayuga and Lewis Streets in Ithaca's Fall Creek neighborhood during Porchfest as first responders reported both drivers were alert and the vehicles were towed away — traffic quickly reopened with no pedestrian injuries.  The Ithaca Voice

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Representatives from Flock Safety will attend a Public Safety Committee meeting on September 30 and a Legislature Meeting on October 7 to address residents' privacy concerns about camera data—Legislator Shawna Black withdrew a resolution on September 16 to allow public discussion before any grant funding is considered.  607 News Now

SPORTS NEWS

  • Local sports officials announced that voters can select the Guthrie Athlete of the Week for Sept. 15–20 from 11 nominees representing teams from Waverly, Elmira, Ithaca, and nearby areas—voting will be open until noon on Sept. 25 and nominations for the next week must be submitted by email by 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27.  Ithaca Journal
