- ➤ The Ithaca Rotary Club announced nearly $15,000 in community grants—supporting projects by 11 local non-profit groups. The awards, chosen from 41 applications—are funded through a donor-advised fund at the Community Foundation of Tompkins County. 607 News Now
- ➤ A public meeting to plan the Ithaca Festival will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on October 2 at the Tompkins County Public Library—attendees will share ideas for next summer's 49th event. 607 News Now

- ➤ Sunbeam warns customers that some Oster ovens may close their doors unexpectedly, which could cause burns — 95 problems have been reported including two second degree burns.
