- ➤ Cornell design researcher So-Yeon Yoon led a study that used algorithm-powered generative art in virtual retail stores — increasing the perceived luxury and appeal, especially for mass-market brands. - ➤ A Cornell-led study of 212 middle school Cherokee students found that as they grew older they noticed more stereotypes about Native Americans—covering cultural practices, financial entitlement, and substance abuse. - ➤ ILR has received two grants from the Washington Center for Equitable Growth to study how worker voice will shape the use of AI in health care and tech jobs. - ➤ On Oct. 10, the Ithaca College Board of Trustees held an open conversation with about 25 students, faculty and staff to review Fall meetings and discuss plans to cut the budget deficit and handle new issues with artificial intelligence. - ➤ The Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability and the Environmental Defense Fund have announced 2025 awardees for joint research into air pollution from wildfires and dust—studying past trends to improve predictions of health and economic impacts.
