Good morning, Ithaca.
Georgina Catacora-Vargas, a visiting Fulbright Scholar from Bolivia, will teach agroecology at Ithaca College’s Department of the Environment for the 2025—26 academic year—she will lead research projects on food environments, community wellness, and nonbinary farming while also taking part in Cornell seminars. She aims to connect local agriculture with global practices through inclusive, participatory research.
The No. 12 ranked Ithaca College Bombers secured a shutout win over the University of Scranton Royals on Oct.29 at Ben Light Gymnasium — marking their 16th consecutive home win — and improved to a 20-3 record.
They finished their regular season away on Nov.1 in Annandale-on-Hudson — a double-header against Bard College and New Jersey City University — and will travel on Nov.7 to Atlanta for the Emory Invitational and a chance at a fourth straight Liberty League Championship Tournament.
Ithaca College opened its new eight-lane, 400-meter outdoor track today to provide a dedicated practice and meet venue after nine years without an outdoor facility — the new track aims to reduce travel for competitions and spark local campus events.
