- ➤ Tompkins County Public Library will host a discussion on the history of immigration and its polarizing effect on November 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Borg Warner East — the panel will include Cornell Professor of Immigration Law Practice Steve Yale-Loehr and law clerk Tania Penafort. 607 News Now
- ➤ Ithaca Generator is a nonprofit community space at 233 Cherry Street that brings together inventors, artisans, crafters and designers to share ideas and skills. It will host events every Tuesday through Thursday — with a 'Share What You Made' session at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Geek Night at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, and Print Club at 11 a.m. on Thursday—to invite locals of all ages to join in creative collaboration. - ➤ The Ithaca College Center for Theatre and Dance’s second mainstage show of Fall kicked off with a vibrant production of Little Women that features strong acting and creative stage design—using color-coded costumes to highlight each sister’s character. - ➤ Students from Armstrong School of Dance in Ithaca will perform in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thanksgiving morning, with seniors Eliza Kennedy and Clare Sanford leading a group of twenty dancers as part of the Spirit of America Performance Dance Team—set to appear on TV between 10:45 a.m. and noon. The school, which has been a recurring feature in the parade since 2008, will also hold a Benefit Christmas Show for Brain Trauma Research on December 6 at Ithaca High School. WENY

- ➤ Tompkins County Public Library invites community input on its 2026 strategic plan during a listening session at the Greater Ithaca Activities Center on November 19 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.—state law requires updated public service plans. Residents may also submit input online, and the final plan will be shared with the Board of Trustees in early 2026—community feedback will help shape the library's future services. WENY

- ➤ Lansing is inviting residents to share feedback on a planned townwide trail system that may connect neighborhoods and boost outdoor activities for walking and biking. The town will use the input to shape the Lansing Greenway project. 607 News Now
- ➤ Today, State DOT engineers begin inspecting bridges near Cornell by rope climbing over Stewart Avenue on Fall Creek—inspections will occur today and tomorrow, on Stewart Avenue over Cascadilla Creek Wednesday, and on Thurston Avenue over Fall Creek Thursday and Friday, with some sidewalk closures expected. 607 News Now
