- ➤ The Hector Playground Project is raising money to build an accessible playground behind the Hector Fire Department and plans to break ground within the next year. The group will hold a Giving Tuesday fundraiser on December 2 that will trigger a $25,000 matching gift from Corning Inc. CEO Wendell Weeks and his wife if at least 25 donations of $25 are received — this effort follows a recent $25,000 match from Shea’s Play Fund and has raised over $80,000 so far. WENY
