- ➤ State funding of $50 million is set to advance Ithaca’s SouthWorks project with plans for affordable housing + a childcare center and a new government building. The initiative, confirmed today, aims to spur job growth and improve local infrastructure. Ithaca Journal

- ➤ Seven athletes from Section 4 were nominated for Guthrie Athlete of the Week for Dec. 21 — 27, with the process recognizing their athletic achievements from the previous week. Ithaca Journal
- ➤ Seven student-athletes from local areas including Ithaca were nominated for Guthrie Athlete of the Week for the week of Dec. 21 to Dec. 27. Online voting is open until noon on Thursday, Jan. 1 and nominations for the following week must be emailed by 6 p.m. Saturday. Ithaca Journal
