Elder-friendly homes are usually not just happenstance. Thoughtful and careful analysis, strategic planning, and understanding options and resources help in practical decision making. Most of us want to stay in our homes as we age, but that can be challenging as life circumstances change. Alternatives can be difficult and may require downsizing, decluttering, or sometimes even moving. Let’s explore together how best to have a safe, comfortable, and supportive home environment as we plan around possible future needs.

Diane’s 30-year career in student affairs, human resources, and training and development for Tompkins County and Cornell provide a foundation and a new passion for working with retirees and caregivers. She hopes to challenge, reframe, and improve the conditions in which we live, learn, work, and play.
