- ➤ Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit announced on Wednesday that all EBT card holders can ride for free while SNAP benefits remain delayed by the federal government shutdown (riders just need to show their EBT card) to ease access to food pantries. Tompkins County Legislator Greg Mezey and Senator Lea Webb said the move will help reduce transportation barriers for those in need. 14850
